Sudden Death Leaves Young Widow..

These  are  excerpts  from  a  writing  by  Laura  Granda,  a  retired  teacher,  peer  counsellar  and  helper  from  K.L.O.  secondary  school  at  3130-Gordon  Drive,  Kelowna,  BC,  VIY3K9,  with  a  degree  in  Counselling  from  the  University  of  Victoria,  BC.

Through the  PEER  COUNSELLOR  JOURNAL, (Network News)  a  Mr.  Wayne  Townsend  519-745-8543  has  initiated  a  program  at  Grand  River  Collegiate,  Box  37030, Kitchener,  Ontario,  N2A4YA7,  that  provides  a  Manual  through  BROWNLEE  PUBLISHING.  This  manual  helps  teachers  and  other  human  resource  workers  improve  their  team  building,  counselling,  and  consulting.

In  a  writing  in  the  winter  2012  edition  of  “BEYOND  50  MAGAZINE”,  Kelowna,  BC.    Laura  Granda  comments  on  the  positive  impact  her  personal  peer  helper  experience  impacted  her  personal life.

While  staying  in  a  Seattle  hotel  after  a  family  wedding,  her  husband  had  A  HEART  ATTACK,  and  was  in  hospital  for  five  days.  He  did  not  recover  and  passed  away   in  2006.

She  writes:  “We  had  planned  to  retire  as  teachers  in  July  2007:’..”Had  planned  future  retirement  adventures:’…”Planned  being  grand  parents  someday:”…but  now  he  was  gone  at  58..and  at  53  she   had  to  go  on  by  herself.

The  next  weeks  and  months  were  a  blur,…..the  first  year  she  says  she  was  numb. The  second  year  of  grief  was  harder………..

Through  BEYOND 50 Magazine in Kelowna, BC, anyone  would gain some more of her story.  A  story  that  could  help  a  few  million  spouses,  widows  and  widowers, and would  be  so valueable on the front pages  of every  newspaper  as  an  educational  aid.  She  sounds  like  a  very  compassionate  peer  counsellor.

After  three  years  of  working with the multitude of years of research  material,  with a website  design company in Orem/Salt Lake City, Utah,  we  condensed  the  material  as  prepared  to  the  Storesonline .com  design  company to finalize  a  world  website  for  acceptance  by  all  the  main  search  engines.

After a year  and  half  of  daily  site  working we discovered the SOL  software  was  not  capable  to  properly  structure  our  site  for  world  client  use.,

We found a  website  designer  in  Surrey,  BC,  fully  capable  to  design  the  exact  information  that  would  include  protection of  data  for  40-60-80-years down the road  and be able  to  immediately  retrieve  the  material  right  from  a  persons  home/office computer  and iphone  etc.   We  will  be  able  to  provide  three  back-up  support  systems.

We  jumped  at  the  chance  to  see  if  they  could  take  on  our  request?  Fortunately,  they  liked  the  concept  and  willingly  showed   newer  computer  tricks  to  enhance  the  text  material  we  supplied.

So  at  the  moment  our  SITE  is  undergoing  a  major  migration  process  and  redesign  away  from  storesonline.com   with  some   texts  for  some  pages  undergoing  updates  with  the   everchanging  gov’t  regulations  to  estate  plans,  and  taxation  laws.
